Mission Statement:
Quest Equine Welfare (QEW) is a registered Australian charity dedicated to providing a high standard of, and comprehensive welfare services to sick, injured, abused, abandoned, and neglected equines, (horses and donkeys).
LILLY & BONNY ENJOY SOME 'TIME OUT'QEW accepts cruelty and neglect cases regardless of breed, age, sex, or size of the equine - founded on the belief that all living creatures should be treated with dignity and respect, no matter their perceived ‘value’ in human terms.
QEW aims to promote humane standards, public awareness, and education regarding the care and responsibilities of horse ownership through community outreach, direct assistance, and through example.
QEW believes that education and cultural change are the long-term solution to improving the welfare status of equines, both at an individual and at an industry level.
QEW works in a spirit of partnership, with energy, commitment, and knowledge, to promote and achieve the highest welfare standards in all areas of the human use and husbandry of equines.
How...
QEW provides the best possible health care and nurtures each animal for as long as it takes for the horse/donkey to recuperate, with the goal being to maximize the mental, emotional, and physical health of all equines that come into QEW’s care. The organisation ultimately places these horses/donkeys into loving and compatible permanent homes that will provide the animal with an excellent quality of life, for the term of its natural life.
QEW maintains a website through which it provides aid, articles, and resources to the general public.
QEW strives to stay abreast of serious issues concerning equines in today’s society, and through social media and its website, QEW promotes understanding within the community of the ethical and informational details of pertinent issues.
QEW is managed in a fiscally responsible manner with sound business practices.
QEW’s services and operational practices are tailored to address immediate needs of individual animals, while consistently working towards facilitating lasting and positive changes to the welfare status of all Australian equines.
